December

12-30-13 Sunday
I had given Larry's a loaf the rye bread from Germany and wanted some so I kneaded up a loaf late Sunday night. Super easy and it turned out great. Baked it in the toaster oven

12-29-13 Saturday
A really nice day with temps in the mid 20's. I shoveled a lot and Peter came over to help.
We took a walk along the lake walk

We met Mary Jo for lunch at Fitger's Brewhouse for a delicious wild rice burger

12-28-13 Friday
Peter had been skiing all around town and he met me at Hartley for a couple laps
We came back to my house and I made some dough for pizza and he helped me chop veggies. A spicy pizza with the Hungarian Carrot Pepper on it. I really liked it. We chatted till 10:15pm

12-26-13 Thursday.
We made our way north thur Decorah Iowa and stopped at the Co-Op. The town has a great thriving downtown with a lot of fun shops

12-24-13 Tuesday - Xmas Eve
I went for a shorter walk in the early morning [-14f]
After breakfast I went exploring around the Turkey river. A great hike.

12-23-13 Sunday
To keep up the Holiday tradition we made sugar cookies in the afternoon. Before we started that we went for a lake walk at Horseshoe Lake. A little cold, but good to get out and about.

12-22-13 Saturday
Emily and I drove to GR and went skiing with Peter at Sugar Hills in the afternoon. Great conditions.

12-8-13
I hadn't made muffins in awhile so I used up some frozen pumpkin from the freezer. They turned out great. Brought them into work to share.

There is a lot of snow on the ground. Went for a nice run around Chester to build up an appetite before going to the COGGS meeting at Thirsty Pagan.

12-7-13
I was craving cinnamon rolls and though about buying one but decided I should make sweets if I want them.

After they rose in the oven for a couple hours. I was surprised with how much they filled the pan.
I made some lunch while they cooked.
The finished product. Very delicious and I gave a couple to my neighbor Erma in thanks for borrowing  her hair drier to seal windows.
